Who can apply
Our basic requirement is that all our students are committed, willing
to work hard, open to new ideas and possess a spirit of co-operation.
After all, film and television work is collective.
For the basic technical courses in camera, sound lighting, editing,
applicants will only need a real and passionate interest in film and
a sense of commitment. We do not have any academic requirements.

For the more advanced courses, like documentary
or short fiction film production, we would like our students to have
basic directing, camera, sound or editing experience, which they want
to develop to a more professional level. Some of these students will
be graduates of audiovisual courses, some will be working for NGOs
or TV stations in Iraq and some will have gathered their experience
in other more individual ways.
No one should be intimidated or hesitate to apply
because they think they do not have the qualifications. An academic
degree does not always guarantee imagination or commitment and this
is what we are looking for.

Application Procedure
Upcoming courses will be announced on this website,
newspapers and other outlets in Iraq.
Students interested in applying should contact us
with a CV or biographical sketch, giving their name, where they come
from, contact email or telephone number and educational background.
They should state why they are interested in learning how to make
films, what led them to this interest and what they hope to achieve.
We will then select a number of students to interview
and from the students interviewed will select those who will participate
in the course. If a student is not chosen, the CV he or she has sent
will be kept on file and they are free to apply for future courses.
